I feel so fortunate to be part of “Team Wetherell.” I brought Wes a semi-broke mare with the hope to show successfully at our local AQHA circuit. It seemed doable, but my lack of confidence combined with the mare’s lack of training made getting around the show pen tough on our own. As a Do-It-Yourselfer, I wasn’t too keen on the whole training barn concept, but Wes’ sterling reputation had me intrigued. I dropped “Patty” off for training and hoped for the best.

With his trademark persistence and quiet dedication, Wes took my horse and I farther than I’d previously allowed myself to dream. We chased our dreams to the biggest shows we’d ever seen, including all the way to Las Vegas for the AQHA Level 1 Championship Show. It was one heck of a ride!

My sweet horse was always treated with dignity, compassion and respect. Wes and Dana’s total commitment to the client’s experience was evident along every step of the way. During every lesson – even the ones where I just didn’t “get it” – Wes never lost his patience or his total commitment to our success. Although I lived several hours from Purcell, Wes made each trip to the barn so impactful. I’d leave with a notebook filled with tips to “study” before our next lesson.

Five years and two horses later, I’m still eager to share my successes with Wes and Dana. I cannot thank them enough for the confidence, compassion and tools they gave me.
